In a perfect world, azaleas would bloom for months instead of just weeks and have big, full flowers with pure and true colors. That's exactly what Perfecto Mundo® azaleas do. Ground cover is very useful, but thankfully the Perfecto Mundo Carpet series is very pretty as well. The days of dreary plain green ground cover are over. With Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet® azalea, you’ll find a dense drift of color in the spring. It then reblooms heavily in the summer, like the rest of the Perfecto Mundo series.

  • 1-2 feet tall and 2-2.5 feet wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 6-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part sun to full sun (4-6+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 2-2.5 feet apart for best results
  • Maintains a low, miniature habit of green foliage year-round
  • Produces hot pink flowers throughout spring then reblooms after a brief rest in summer until frost
  • Blooms on new and old wood
  • Great for containers, edges, groundcover, landscapes, mass plantings, low hedges
  • Attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds
  • Miniature habit, deadheading not necessary, heat tolerant, reblooming, fall interest
  • Shrubs shipped Nov-Apr will arrive dormant; shrubs shipped Apr-Oct will arrive green or in bloom

Care: Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food just as the new growth begins to emerge, and then again after the spring bloom is complete. Give the plant a light trim after its spring bloom, which encourages new growth - the more new growth it puts on after that spring bloom, the more rebloom you'll get.

A note on hardiness: Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet® azalea is hardy to USDA zone 6b, and is better suited to milder coastal areas of zone 6b than harsh Midwestern sites. If you wish to plant it in zone 6b, select a protected location and mulch well. Do not fertilize after mid-July in these areas. If you do wish to fertilize, do so in early spring, just as the new growth begins to emerge, and then again after the spring bloom is complete.
